So, I’m some 55 year old Techno-fossil currently chillin’ in the New Forest, Southern England working for a Government Agency (no, not MI5!).  Also always up for a bit of hands-on comms related IT work especially if it’s off the beaten trail in a far off land as I used to be the IT Comms Tech for Camel Trophy in Mongolia, Argentina, Chile and the South Pacific Islands of Tonga and Samoa from 1997-2000.

Hobbies include a local voluntary project I’ve been working over the pat 18 months which is a howling success thanks to tremendous support from BBC Radio Solent, the Daily Echo, Hampshire County Council and 60 very enthusiastic local volunteers.

I also have 3 amazing grown up daughters who have ‘fled the nest‘ but still call me Daddy.

i.e. -”Daddy, can I have some money please...“

“Daddy.. my computer is broken…“

“Daddy, my car needs new tyres and a battery…”

Worse still…

MY own Dad gets double doses of the above..

“Grandad, can I have some money please…”

Joking aside they’ve been my rock of late and I honestly don’t know how I’d have got by without them.

Some of the other Phil Bridges on the net…
